Goodbye, Faisal

Good news; odious prick Faisal al-Abdullah has been deported from Britain:

Race hate preacher Sheikh Abdullah al-Faisal, who influenced one of the 7 July bombers, has been deported from Britain, the home secretary said.

He left Gatwick for Jamaica at 1200 BST, accompanied by two police escorts and an immigration officer.

Al-Faisal, who is of Jamaican origin, lost his appeal against deportation.

He was jailed in 2003 for soliciting the murder of Jews and Hindus. London bomber Germaine Lindsay was “strongly influenced” by him, John Reid [the Home Secretary] said.

Indigo Jo reminds us that not only did Faisal preach against Jews and Hindus, as widely reported in the media, but he spewed his vitriol against Muslims he regarded as either deviants or apostates:

[T]he BBC news story I linked above repeats the same pattern of media coverage of the Faisal case, which is to mention what he said about Jews and Hindus but not what he said about his fellow Muslims. He issues takfir – pronunciations of disbelief against another – on numerous occasions, on one occasion telling his audience to repeat the words “kill him!” in regard to the US “salafi” preacher Abu Usama, and tells his followers “you kill the Bareilawi before you kill the Christian”, Bareilawis being a large proportion of the Muslim population of India and Pakistan.

As with all that speak on Islam, he was not perfect. I too witnessed some of his lectures and I can truly say that he will be missed.

“Indigo Jo reminds us that not did Faisal preach against Jews and Hindus, as widely reported in the media”

Indigo Jo is mistaken. He (or someone who sounded highly similar) said we should blow up Hindu businesses and “the Jews, we kill them personally”.

My fault. I forgot to add an “only”. Sloppy editing. The sentence should read:

“Indigo Jo reminds us that not ONLY did Faisal preach against Jews and Hindus, as widely reported in the media…”

Indigo Jo is, of course, not liable for my mistake.

    Thabet –

There is an interesting conversation being carried out on Indigo Jo’s blog that says a lot about the general Islamic world out there.

As for the majority being ‘moderate’, welll let’s just say that the view is challenged there.

No worries. You have to be careful with that kind of thing. You might get accused of taqiyyah. 😉

3 comments, one of them about whether or not Yusuf Smith stands with Faisal or not hardly counts as an ‘interesting conversation’ on ‘the general Islamic world’
